See him hang at the crossroads
Watch his tortured body sway
Hanged in chains and iron
Left as a feast for the crows
Why he carried out that deed
Only he will ever know
See him swing at the crossroads
For his sins he'll dearly pay
On that night in 1683,
He murdered a whole family,
He killed them all as they slept
Only one awake, pleaded and wept
A servant doing the work of the Devil
Or was he just a man insane?
Sentenced to death by hanging
For his cruel deeds he'll dearly pay
Take him up to the gallows
And hang him high by the neck
The villain proclaimed his innocence
A blood-stained knife sealed his fate
On that night in 1683,
He murdered a whole family,
He killed them all as they slept
Only one awake, pleaded and wept
Go back thou hateful wretch
Resume thy cursed knife
I long for more blood
Spare not the young one’s life
Kill all, kill all
Leave none alive
Kill all, kill all
With your bloodied knife (x 2)
He hangs at the crossroads in iron and chains
Hear his screams from miles away
He killed the innocent with his knife
And now he must pay with his own life
Andrew Mills is dead…
See him sway at the crossroads
Hear his tortured body creak
Hanged in a cage of iron
Left to rot for three weeks
Till all that remains is bones
And until he no longer moves
A murderer hangs at the crossroads
Left for all to see
On that night in 1683,
He murdered a whole family,
He killed them all as they slept
Only one awake, pleaded and wept
A servant of the devil
A butcher of an innocent family
Slit their throats, mangled their bodies
With wild eyes staring violently
They sleep till they will rise again
He realised it all far too late
He who sheds man's blood
By man his blood shall be shed

This is the ABSOLUTE return of one of the MOST IMPORTANT heavy metal bands ever! Cirith Ungol offered us everything we hoped for and even more with this release, almost 30 years after their break-up. No more words, play it loud as it should be played! BoneWalker

Every time I listen to this album I think I have a different favorite track. Masterpiece of an album. This was my introduction to Haunt so it holds a special place. Brilliant song writing here. G-ram74
